Peacefully with family by her side Linda Gladue passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the age of 60 years after a lengthy fight with COPD.
Left to treasure her memory are her beloved husband Michael Gladue of Portage; children Tammy (Ryan) Andrich of Portage and David Marinier of Winnipeg; grandchildren Jesse, Connor and Molly; sibling Allan (Margo) Contois of Toronto, along with many nieces and nephews and special friends.
Linda was born in Toronto, Ontario on October 8, 1959. She resided there until 1975 when she moved to Manitoba. Linda had three step children as well as 2 of her own, later in life she met and married her husband Michael. Linda was a strong willed stubborn and sometimes feisty woman always ready to tell you how it is and the way it should go. But she also had a great sense of humor and was very kind hearted willing to help anyone who needed it. Linda enjoyed her job at Tim Hortons where she worked for 27 years often getting up hours early before her shift to help out coworkers. She made an impact on not only the people she worked with but also many customers being known for her fast hard work and her ability to make the best sandwiches around. Linda enjoyed playing cards and dice with her husband many times bragging about how much she beat him by. She loved painting pictures, playing pretend kitchen and makeup time with her granddaughter Molly. She will be forever missed but never forgotten.
Visitation and viewing will take place at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. A public Celebration of Linda’s life will be announced at a later date.
