It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Anne Pears. On Monday September 12th 2022 at Fred Douglas Lodge Winnipeg, MB Patricia passed away at the age of 84.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Marlene, Bill (Eleanor), Kevin (Tammy) and Robb (Marilyn). Grandchildren Brittany, Cody, Jana and Andrew. Great Granddaughters Kylie and Olivia. Cousins Linda and Grant.
Mom was predeceased by her parents Bill and Ivy Pears, aunts Irene Shaw, Hazel (Bill) Smith, Joan (Frank) Holtz, Mildred (Wilfred) Lusignan, uncles James Shaw and Harry Shaw.
Mom was born in Portage La Prairie and raised on the family farm in Beaver Manitoba; this fostered a love for adventure and the outdoors that would last a lifetime for her. Mom had many interests including gardening, window shopping, good books, music, visiting with friends, travel, hockey and curling to name a few. Mom enjoyed her many trips and always spoke fondly of her time in Hawaii with Marlene whom she loved to travel with. In 2012 mom suffered a stroke that left her in a wheelchair for the remainder of her days, although the stroke took her mobility and freedom it could never take her wry sense of humor and quick wit, mom carried these traits and honed them every day with everyone she met.
We will never have enough words or time to completely express just how much mom meant to us all, whether it was a smile, a touch of her hand, a reassuring word or even just calling you out on your "BS", you could always feel the love this woman had for you.
Always and Never Mom…Always Loved, Never Forgotten
