With family by her side, Shirley Christianson left this earth to go dancing with Arden, the love of her life, on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the age of 97 years.
She was predeceased by her daughter Inga (1954), husband Arden (2000) and daughter-in-law Linda (2019). Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her sons Barry and Eric (Jan); daughters Signe, Sonja (Lawrence) and Stephanie; good friend Sarah; grandchildren Jed (Carrie), Ben (Kathy), Bess (Red Ben), Amber, Danny, Morgan (Cornell), Layne, Calvert, Rene, Bjorn and Lindy; great-grandchildren Jack, Grace, Loen, Paige-Ella, Cornell Jr., Kairo, Parker and Liam; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mum loved life to the fullest!
A celebration of Shirley’s life, along with her sister Vera Keys, will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Portage Fair Board Office on Island Park. The family asks for those in attendance to wear bright colours, no black.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Shirley’s memory to the Special Olympics Manitoba - Central Region 305 - 29 5th Street SE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 1H9.
